Custard Cream Tart with almonds


  • 1 pack of puff pastry TRADIÇÃO D’AVOZINHA

  • 250g milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 50g of sugar

  • 20g cornstarch

  • 20g butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 150g shredded almonds

  • Icing sugar (for decoration)

Let your pastry defrost in the fridge and roll it out afterwards. Coat your mould with butter and flower and lay out the dough on top. Pierce it with a fork, so it can aerate.

Tip: To roll out the dough, sprinkle your table with flower so it’s easier for you to work the product.

To make the custard cream, mix the milk, the eggs, the sugar, the cornstarch, the butter and the vanilla extract and put it in a pan. Cook it in low heat until it thickens, stirring constantly.

Fill in the baking mould with the custard. Add the almonds on top e sprinkle a little bit of icing sugar to taste. Bake it in the oven at 200ºC until golden.
